A counter, not a lab bench.

Installed as fixed furniture on a retail floor — beside the display cases, in front of the customer, on the counter it will sit on for years.

Dimension	Approach
Form	Rack-mounted cabinet — a permanent fixture at the deployment site
Serviceability	Modular subassemblies; one power and one data connection each. A module is swapped in place on site — the unit never ships back.
Network posture	The scanner accepts no inbound connections. Every connection it makes is outbound and initiated by the unit, so nothing on the shop network has to be opened up for it.
Offline behaviour	Identification runs against a catalog held on the machine, so a scan is not waiting on a round trip to us or to anyone else's API.
Catalog updates	Delivered as versioned deltas. A unit pulls only what changed, and a partial update rolls back rather than half-applying.
Commercial model	Leased hardware with a service agreement. Enterprise and multi-site terms available.
